How the install works
Step 1
Pick your model and shades
Text us your Tesla model and whether you want the roof done. We confirm shade choices for the roof, sides and windshield and quote it on the spot.
Step 2
Pattern the panels
Patterns are cut to your model's glass geometry, including the roof and the small quarter windows that most shops rush.
Step 3
Prep and install
Glass is decontaminated, film is laid and heat-formed to the curve, and the interior is protected while we work.
Step 4
Cure and warranty
Keep the windows up a few days. The install is covered for life against fade, bubble and peel.
Tesla tint questions, answered
Can you tint the Tesla glass roof?
Yes, and it is the change most Tesla owners notice most. We use ceramic film engineered for large glass panels so it rejects heat overhead without making the cabin feel like a cave.
Will tint affect autopilot, phone key or the Tesla app?
No. Our ceramic film contains no metal, so it does not interfere with GPS, cellular, Bluetooth phone key, the mobile app, or the cameras and sensors used for driver assistance.
Is Tesla tint legal in California?
California requires front side windows to let through more than 70% of light, so we use near-clear ceramic up front to stay compliant while still cutting heat. Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be as dark as you like when the car has both side mirrors.
How long does a Tesla take?
Most Teslas are done the same day. Adding the panoramic roof takes extra time because it is a large single piece of glass that has to be laid without a seam.
Which Teslas do you tint?
Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X, including refreshed versions. Each has its own glass shapes, so we use model-specific patterns rather than generic ones.
Should I tint the windshield on a Tesla?
A near-clear ceramic windshield film is popular on Teslas because the windshield is huge and raked back, so it collects a lot of sun. It stays light enough to be legal and safe at night while removing a real amount of heat.
